The Glencoe Gathering

We cannot wait to celebrate with you in Glencoe. It means a lot to us that you’re making the journey to the Scottish Highlands to be part of this weekend.

Our day will begin with a late-morning ceremony, followed by a wedding meal and a ceilidh in the evening. We hope you’ll stay, explore, and make a little Highland adventure of it with us.

Invites

If your name is on the invitation, that’s because we would truly love for you to join us in Glencoe.

As much as we adore your little ones, our celebration will be for those named on the invite only.

If you’re unsure about anything at all, please just reach out. We’d always rather a quick WhatsApp beforehand than any confusion on the day.

TRAVEL

By Car
Around 1.5 hours from Glasgow, through some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. Roads are straightforward but allow extra time in December in case of winter weather.

By Air
Nearest airport: Glasgow Airport.
From there, hiring a car is the simplest option.

For those travelling from the south, flights from Southampton via easyjet are sub £100 if booked in advance, and there are several options which work for either Friday or Saturday arrival.

By Train
The nearest station is Fort William, with onward travel by car or taxi to the hotel.

Tip: If you’re travelling from further afield, we’d recommend making a weekend of it.

ACCOMMODATION

Online
Head on over to Kingshouse Hotel website

At the top right-hand corner – you’ll see a button for “Book A Room”.

Click “Book A Room” and enter the dates you’d like to stay for and the number of nights.  Identify how many occupants will be in the room, & enter your Promo Code: WEDD061226 and click check availability.

Please note a minimum length of stay of two nights applied to these dates.

There is enough rooms held for everyone in attendance of the wedding until 10th September 2026 so you have plenty of time to book.

We are aware people might wish to stay elsewhere, but due to our location ( We promise it will be worth it), there are limited options, but it is doable. We would advise you to make sure you have confirmed your travel plans, as buses and taxis are not reliable in that part of the world.

FOOD & MENU

Seasonal Highland Menu

Our wedding meal will reflect the season and the setting. The full menu will be confirmed closer to the time once we know what winter in the Glen brings.

We’ll collect dietary requirements nearer the day.

Dress code

Highland Formal

We’ll be wearing traditional Highland formal and would love you to embrace the setting with us. Kilts and tartan/accessories are warmly encouraged, especially for those travelling from the south, but only if you’d like to.

If you’re not wearing Highland dress, please follow a formal winter dress code.

This means:

• Floor-length or midi dresses
• Tailored suits or tuxedos
• Black tie style evening wear
• Tweed suits are very welcome

This is not a casual event. Please no jeans, trainers, short day dresses, or informal wear.

Colour Palette

We’ve put a lot of thought into the look and feel of the day, and we’d really love everyone to stick to our winter Highland palette.

The setting, the flowers, and the styling are all being designed around these tones, and it will make a huge difference to the overall atmosphere if we’re all in sync.

As a photographer, I care a lot about how things look in pictures. If you turn up in bright peach, neon pink, or summer florals… there’s a strong chance you’ll mysteriously disappear from the gallery.

Joking. Mostly.

Please lean into the rich, winter tones below.

Practical

We will be briefly outdoors for the ceremony and some photos, so warm coats, wraps, and suitable footwear are a good idea.

There will be a ceilidh in the evening. If you’d like to change into dancing shoes later on, we absolutely love that idea. We’ll be doing the same.
